Upcoming events

Rockwood Triathlon By The Bay - Sunday 08 July

This weekend coming up sees the first Open-water Triathlon of the season in Rockwood Park, Saint John. New Race Director, Boon Kek, and his team, have been working hard to set a great race up in the Port City. Registrations are looking good so why not dust the cobwebs off your wetsuit and come out to the warm waters of Lily lake next Sunday morning for the race.

Rockwood Park KOS- Saturday 07 July

A great new addition to our growing KOS roster of events is the KOS event based in and around Fisher Lakes in Rockwood Park on Saturday 07 July with registration opening at 8.00am. Fees are $10.00 per child or $20.00 for a family entry and age-divisions range from 6-15 years. Refreshments and prizes will be on offer. All kids will receive a Swim cap and a Certificate. For more information please contact Gina Spear-Burrows - Gina.Spearburrows@gmail.com

Woodstock KOS

Saturday 30 June saw the annual Woodstock KOS at Carleton Civic Center. 65 Kids signed up for various race distances starting at 4 years old right up to the 14 year olds. The kids had to brave hot & stick weather but it was worth it all for the balloon water fight after the race. This is a great community event and its fantastic to see all these kids having a blast.

Items For Sale - from Jon Spinney

I'm trying to simplify my bike portfolio, and I'm wondering if you might know anyone that is looking for a TT Bike? I have a size Medium 2008 Trek Equinox TTX 9.0 that I have literally used 3 times since I bought it new in 2010.

Here's a description:
http://www.trekbikes.com/us/en/bikes/2008/archive/equinoxttx90

I have the (heavy) stock Bontrager wheelset that came with it - never used.

Other stuff that I would like to move:
Mavic Open Pro wheelset with a (wired) powertap, and a custom fit Wheelbuilder.com disk wheel cover.
Giro Aero Helmet (worn once)
Bontrager XXX Lite Carbon Tubular Wheelset (ebay listing: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120937328781)
Planet X Carbon 50mm Tubular Wheelset (like this: http://www.planet-x-usa.com/pPC50TU/Planet-X-Pro-Carbon-5050-Tubular-Wheelset.aspx)

Feel free to pass the info along to anyone you thin! k might be interested. Prices would be reasonable. I'm thinking $1400 obo for the bike, $600 obo for the powertap set, and $500 obo for the Planet X wheelset. I would discount for people who wanted to buy a package of items...willing to listen to offers.

See you next Saturday & Sunday in Rockwood.
