Tour de Vin: Awesome day in Fredericton!
The 2011 Tour de Vin took place Saturday in Fredericton and what a gorgeous day it was for a charity ride. Sunshine, a few clouds (and a nasty headwind on the ride home!), 140 cyclists coming together for a great cause ( Heart & Stroke Foundation) and a ton of fun was had by all. And of course, with a name like "Tour de Vin", to say that participants were spoiled rotten with 8 wines from 4 different countries (loved the Cava from Spain), charcuterie, local cheeses, breads, pulled pork, cheese tarts and more would be an understatement.
The day was capped off back at The Garrison with a "heart healthy" meal, cold beers, a silent auction and some great raffle prizes. Kudos to Eric M. and The Radical Edge for sponsoring the event. If you missed out this year make sure you add it to your "hit list" for 2012 and join us for an awesome day of cycling, socializing and indulgence in support of a great cause. Cheers!
