Contador and the future of cycling

What's Next For Contador? | Cyclingnews.com

Anyone out there keeping track of this ongoing debacle? For those who have been living in a cave, TDF champ Contador was busted for trace amounts of a banned substance in his system, he claims he got from "tainted meat"....there were also elements of plastic found, leading to suspicion of a previous blood transfusion...hmmm....if I had a buck for everytime we have heard excuses like this I would be a rich man. Of course, the jury is still out on the UCI's plans for Alberto so who knows...maybe he will start a "defense fund" similar to what Landis did prior to admitting guilt. Maybe he will be cleared of all wrong doing. Maybe he will be found guilty, suspended and DQ'd and Schleck will be declared the winner of the last TDF. Maybe...ahh the heck with it! At this point, I'm not sure it matters. Cycling is a wicked sport but is facing some SERIOUS challenges lately with this mess and of course the Armstrong - Novitzky inquiry in the US re: doping on the USPS Team a few years ago. Where will it end and can it be saved? Thoughts?
