Summer 2011...where did you go?

Say it ain't so...summer barely arrived in NB and now it's gone. The harsh reality hit home this past week. Cool temperatures in the morning (5 degrees..seriously?), and the sun setting so bloody early there's barely time after work to sneak in a ride before you're pedaling home in the dark looking to dodge potholes in the fading light. Leaves changing color and falling rapidly prompting breaking out the rake from the shed and a less enjoyable type of "workout" than a swim, bike or run.

True, fall is a great time to recharge the batteries, reflect back on your season, and get mentally prepared for even colder temps, darkness and possibly sticking the tri bike in the basement on the trainer. It can also be the time to focus on maintaining your fitness gains from the past months and get psyched up for the changing season.

Regardless of how you choose to embrace it, the lazy days of summer look to be behind us for another year. Onwards and upwards...all the best for the Fall season from all of us at Tri NB.
