Fredericton KOS: Rainy and cold but who cares!

It IS the summer right? Cool temperatures and some light (heavy?) rain met the kids this morning at Killarney Lake. Despite the less than ideal conditions, a TON of kids came out to "tri" the sport at the popular event hosted by Race Director Donna Trites and her tireless race crew ( thanks to Radical Edge for the bike checks!)

Standing around cheering on the athletes seemed cool enough, but boy oh boy..huge congrats go to those kids who braved the water, wind, bike and run to cross that finish line with smiles on their faces! Thanks to all the who came out to support our youth and Donna / Trites Orthodontics for making the race happen. Best part of the day? One young lady ran through the finish line, back through transition and onto the run course..again! When told she could stop she simply said, " but I want to keep going!" And keep going she did..a future star in the making folks :)
